My son’s Bar Mitzvah, when I finally got to play the role of Mitzvah mom after making so many other people’s celebrations a reality.! We had always envisioned our first son being Bar Mitzvahed at the Kotel in Jerusalem. When Covid altered our plans, we had to redirect our dreams to our own backyard here in Miami. We made a weekend out of it with a family Shabbat dinner, a football day complete with NFL players, dale the host and his favorite coaches,, and the most special ocean-front services and outdoor celebration in Bal Harbour.
